It is the strategy of age
this not-looking for anything
We meander down the rocky beach
eyes on the variegated smooth stones
minds far off somewhere we can’t recall
No one hollers down to us from above
They can’t see us for all the trees
We don’t have to be anywhere
so don’t carry a watch
